4 very early TR2s and 3s are included in this line up...

A beautiful day for the run, through some picturesque villages and the infamous ZIg Zag hill that makes you long for power steering [8D]

The wessex Registers Cobweb run up to Compton abbas airfield, unfortunatly it was too windy to fly but a well attended run with 14 cars in total up for it

Next drive out for Sunday lunch will be to Titchfield Harbour in February

Was feeling a little fed up today so I downed the paint brush,
I'm currently decorating my house at the moment and went out in the garage and took the TR7 for a long spin around the New Forest listening to Ultravox on the tape player.
My mojo was soon brought back to life.
There is something to be said for keeping your car on the road all
year long [:)]

The coupe looks good John.

Just up the road from me John - I went past there yesterday! Wish I had known you were all going up there today.

Zig-Zag is indeed the highlight of many a trip - power steering when going up, more like uprated brakes when coming down[:D]

And I went out in the Hyundai! Does that count? It has TR-Drivers Club stickers on both sides! We went to Ally-Pally - to the Model Engineers Show. Didn't see one TR, but then I didn't see an MGB, either. Just an old white Saab 95 heading down the A20 at Wrotham!

<font color="green">I know there was a wink there but I have to ask "why should I be ashamed that now I am out of work/on a pension I simply cannot afford to tax my car for 12 months? So from now on it's likely to be May to October only on the road for GRD. No point in giving all that extra money to the government for 6 months of winter time when the car hardly moves anyway. Can also save on the insurance by cutting down on the mileage so it's benefits all round! As far as I can see all I am missing out on is Drive It Day events - no big deal that!</font id="green">

Fair point but I just love driving the 7 over driving my boring ole company insignia so as long as I can afford to, One or the other will be gracing the road and decimating my carbon footprint.

At the same time tho. Giving me a huge deal of satisfaction over the. Drudge and worries of everyday life and austerity

To be fair our weather is all over the place, take last sunday.. northwesterly rain and sleet. The sunday before warm and sunny, the tv forecaster even threatened to call the overnight tempurature "balmy" but said he didn't dare as it was still Febuary! The only way to take advantage of such an unpredictable climate is to take the year round option. Sunny and hot = Summer. All else = Winter. Simpathise if you can only afford 6 months. This is exacly why Road Tax should be added to petrol prices (except you couldn't expect the Gov to do it without benefiting!

I'll also chime in on this one ....I'll store my car for about 4 months during the winter season between December to April (but not exactly by choice)
#1 - We have winter tire laws from Dec 15 to march 15th
#2 - the temps are all over the board from -40 on Monday to +10 today
(which plays havoc on 30 year old british cars)
#3 - salt,humidity,pot holes,frost,ice and more salt
#4 - 2 seater convertible is hardly practical with three kids and winter sports
