That looks like a re-badged Solstice/Sky/GT! It's just as well that didn't happen, Triumph does NOT need an American manufacturer reviving it.

Solstice back end and Camaro front end, definitely GM styling. Maybe their new Solstice replacement, a Camstice?

I saw a new Solstice coupe at San Diego's car museum last year. Really looked good. Would be quite rare as only produced in the last year as they shut down production.

The Sky was actually styled in Coventry and that whole platform is European based, came to the US already sorted. Manufacturing was moved here for the Sky/Solstice but they weren't designed or developed on this side of the pond.

^^^^

that info was not something I knew about those cars !

3 years ago when I had just got my job at the local Chev dealer, we had a Solstice coupe in the showroom, that really called out to the boy racer in me ....I've always thought the design was very well executed.

Look familiar. Opel GT that the Sky (same body as the Opel) and the Solstice got their platform from.

One thing for sure is that the Germans BMW wont be calling a new car a "Spitfire"
