Is it a crime to V8 a limited edition?

Hi,

Good video, i had the 'noisey' system on my old FHC but after a weekend up in Yorkshire and 500 miles later a 'quite' one went on.

Cheers John.

Each to our own I know, but I have to agree with Steve on this one.

Is the clutch dragging a little, heard a crunch when he shifted from reverse to first. Either doesn't sound very good compared to Jim Clark's car. Post a video Jim, let's see what it sounds like compared when coming through these laptop speakers.

I've tried to get a video with my phone, it is very lame. I don't have a modern digital video camera. My old VHS-C camera still works. I'd need to dig the capture card I have out of the depths of an unknown packing box to get the video to the computer.

Thanks for the compliment. I like it too. Even if it is a bit too loud sometimes.

Both versions sound great...........

I agree with my learned friend John about motorway drone. My mild steel single pipe single silencer system originally "boomed" at motorway cruising speeds and drove me nuts after 30 minutes.

When it was replaced I had an extra box fitted to keep me sane. The V8 still sounds great when idling and accelerating but is much quieter at part throttle.

Is something being dragged under the front bumper?

Adam

Needless to say, I think it is. Especially if it's a Solihull FI built car as there were only 80 or so built, 800 divided by 10% that where FI and sent to California. There is a number that 400 FI's built but even at that number 160 of those would have been built at Solihull (800/2000 X 400) still quite a rare car.

Thousands of other 7's for Rover V-8's, Buick V-8's, Oldsmobile V-8's (200hp Buick with 10 to 1 compression), Buick V-6's, Corvette LS1 V-8, Chrysler gas turbine or what ever you want to put in there.[:p]
