Hi,
I was called by a mechanic who has been asked to fix a TR7 so I popped around to his workshop and found a very very sound bodied, 4 speed, Java Green TR7. Sunning, virtually NO rust, just the fuel filler panel and a small bubble on the door.
Being an NZ car it has no serial number plate as seen in the UK, Australia or the US. It only has the tiny strip of aluminium with a number riveted to a turret. I have no idea why New Zealand cars are like this but most I have seen, and cut up, are just like this.
The plate reads T062485CC which of course means nothing but is the serial number of the car as far as New Zealand is concerned.
Could this be TCC 062485? if so then there is no TCC mentioned in the web sites I look at so can anyone shed any light on it? (The rivet might be obscuring CG instead of CC but that will take further investigation.)
Any ideas?
The car is registered as a 1978 for what its worth.
