Why is that? Fear of loosing members? Getting unavailable parts made is a function of cars not available for break up times value of cars in rough and restored shape. Given the amount of cars made and their value up to now we haven't reached that point yet. But we have started the journey. Not so many years ago we locally have gone from no TR7's to a good handful, and comments from "you don't want to buy that car" to "the more I see it the more I like it".
Rather than a "club," a central world wide voluntary "Registry" that would require minimal expense to run that would show prospective manufacturers the potential market would be more acceptable. But then the fear of loss of control of personal info in this world of the internet would be impractical to over come.
