Stripes or not?

Here is a stripe kit that I modified. The car came with the stripe, but had TR7 in the rear part. I bought a V8 decal from Rimmers and it matched the one already in the stripe, so I just removed the 7 and inserted the 8.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to bring them to a local graffix firm to make make exact replicas, before you put them on teh car?.
These could then be saved in their files so other sets can be redone easily ...

It's a good feeling knowing when you drive into a car show you're very likely to be the only one like it. Glad you kept it original.

Are the spokers original (they tended to crack) or aftermarket?

I must admit there are a few nice examples her, but for me, it is a no stripe. I think the car has a nice enough line down the side as it is without having to put more on. I am currently in the process of taking mine off as with the doors being changed, it does not look good with the rest of the car having them, but the doors not.[:D]

That white stripe looks great on the green. I'm amazed it was still in good condition. A few years ago I had to clean out my father's auto repair business and had to toss out rolls of striping tape and dozens of stripe kits and appliques that had gone bad. Most seemed ok at first glance, but the outer edges had dried out and wouldn't stick. So keep an eye on the edges!
