Personally I think this could be the deal of a lifetime for a turn key buisness !!!
(too bad it wasn't in Canada [V], otherwise it might have been a calling for me...)

My favorite MG guy in the Portland Area, Keith Ansell at Foreign Parts Positively, is scaling back his operation, and his main competitor, Harold Dick, died recently. I bought a few parts for my TR6 from Triumphs Only some time back. I hope someone steps up and takes it on. I would hate to lose these resources. If I were a little younger and a little richer, it would be a tempting proposition.

Wow, running a Triumph business in sunny California! Sounds great, and looks like a lot for your money, with rent incentives & support to get you going.

And what a great way to advertise the business to a literally word wide audience. You wouldn't press Buy It Now though, would you? There is an awful lot of research to be done into the financial health of that business & to establish exactly what you are getting for your money before you commit to buy. Just what you would do for any business deal.

Most likely it is a good deal and nothing at all to suggest the vendor is not being straight, but you know what they say: Caveat Emptor!

If the business was that good one could open up from scratch and make all the money without paying him.

I am reminded of a Mini wrecker here, they used to solely supply Mini parts but as the cars dwindled in numbers they had to change or go bust. They are now Honda wreckers and have closed down the Mini section.

I am sure the above business is well supplied but how big is the actual market? Also, the market is most likely full of restored cars so the parts supply business will be somewhat slow....maybe

Their parts yard does make me drool though......a real play pen

About 45 minutes from my house. Perhaps I could commute? A good look at the books would be helpful but the risk may not be all that much as it looks like a well run sale of the cars and parts might well be would the asking price.
