This is quite a well photographed rally car and used to compete in works colours. Anyone know much about it's history?

No Chris, Only pictures when it was competing in the early 80s. Does it still exist?

Just checked the DVLA website and seems to say that it hasn't been registered since 1987, so guess it's not around anymore or new registration.

how do you get to check the dvla web site with a date of last registered??? i know how to check if there still insured as a guide. but the other would be useful

Here you go, use the 'vehicle enquiry' tab

http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/index.jsp

It will tell you when last taxed or sorn'd
