I expect most of us agree that the car's styling was a compromise, based on meeting real or feared US safety standards.
Someone has taken a professional appearing approach at imagining a 'what if the massive bumper wasn't required'.
I think the builder should be admired, and the apparent quality of the modifications suggest that the structural problems would have been addressed.
I'd like to see the rear end treatment.

I agree. It looks quite professional. Some serious work went into it. But it falls short because it is too blunt. What makes the wedge unique is the the wedge appearance. Blunting the nose like that totally destroys the idea.

After being used to US rear bumpers, which I and others prefer (more character) that looks like a Manx cat. Coupled with the front end of Tow Mater (thanks to photoshop[:D] ) it fails on several levels. People should be trying to make it more like Harris Mann's original sketch and less like other nondescript cars on the road.

I'm not keen on the rear bump strip ....but honestly still don't mind it[?]

if it was down lower, I'd say it would have a racer look to it...and like cobber says maybe a darker mono-tone colour would blend it in better too

I can't make up my mind, think it might be one of those that looks better in the flesh than in a phot as you would be standing higher over it and it might not look so blunt. Also can't make up my mind if it should have a 'splitter' thin bumper like a 70's Chevy Vega, or even like a Mk III Spit to sharpen the front.

Black out the hood bulge right down to the open grill. Someone could probably photoshop that. Back is not bad if only the bumper part protruded just a bit rearward. I like the sides at the rear though.
