New mirrors??

Postby UKPhilTR7 » 08 Sep 2011 05:46

I have always thought about replacing the mirrors on my 7 and came across these (CARBON MIRROR WITH INDICATOR) on the http://www.nfauto.co.uk/mirror1.htm site

These look good as they have the indicators on them too, which I think may look good. Has anyone else done this?

Ah what it needs is a brave soul to give them a go then give us some feedback [:D] as they might look good on the grinnall if only they were electrically operated too

what is REALLY needed is a mirror that is not only movable electrically but heated.......I'm having a Honda CRX built to my own specs in Tennessee and plan to add that to my little stable (sorry, Janice) and the restorer is putting on electrically controlled mirrors that are also heated. I'll let you know when I get the car, how it goes.

That would be nice if there was electric and heated ones, but for a start it is not bad, with the indicators in them.

I don't really see the need for electric movement or heat. No one else drives my car so they don't get moved. On the off chance they get bumped it's no big deal to fix. The car stays in the garage so no need to de-frost. And if the weather is bad it's not going outside anyway.
I'm not a purist who thinks you shouldn't change the car. I've changed enough on my own, but adding electrical gadgets to a TR7....just one more thing to go wrong.[:)]

Here's a pic of my mirrors. Clearly not original but I think they fit the Wedge quite well.
