Until we meet again...

Postby Maxwell » 05 Sep 2011 19:00

Hi Friends

Today we sold our TR7\V8 to fund a Charity Road Trip to Mongolia. Ten Thousand miles across mountains and arid desert in something akin to a Clio or a Saxo, a Fiesta or a Micra. We also need to raise £1000, half of which will be donated to The Hospice In The Weald and the other half to a charity nominated by the organisers.

Should anyone wish to follow my Blog, please e-mail me for details.
We leave Goodwood on Saturday 14th July 2012 \ watch out for The Festival Of Slow! I also need a co-driver - and a co-co-driver - with around six weeks free time on their hands next summer!

It's been good chatting on here.... but for me things have moved on and TR ownership is now a thing of the past.

Maxwell, sold already? After all that talk on Saturday of it being a last resort! I still say you will regret it in the future.
Keep in touch and let me have details of the blog and fundraising schemes.
Good luck with it.

Andrew,

Good luck with your adventure for next year, you can always come back and get back into TR life.

Please keep us all up to date with how things proceed over the next months and then the big six week event.

Best regards

That sounds like a fantastic trip. My son did trains from Estonia to Moscow, then the Trans-Siberian Express through Mongolia and China, ending up in Laos. He said Mongolia was one of the most amazing parts of the trip. He got invited to a wedding in some yurts out in the middle of no-where and they all got drunk on fermented horse milk. (I think it's an acquired taste.)

Good luck with the big adventure and fund raising!

Sounds like a road trip of a lifetime. I'm envious. And you can always get another wedge when you get back for sometime later. There will still be a few available for sale.
