Installed the seats this weekend.[:D] Wasn't too bad. The inside track lined up with the original mounting holes. So I just needed to make up brackets for the outside tracks. I got some 1/8" plate steel from my neighbors sheetmetal shop and cut and drilled it. He offered to laser cut it for me but I was able to cut it with my reciprocating saw and driling was no problem.
I did loose an inch of headroom which is no big deal. But now my legs are a bit too close to the steering wheel for my liking. I will eventually re-do the stock seats when the budget permits, since they are the most comfortable seat I have ever been in.
A couple of interesting things I learned about good old Speke craftmanship. To my knowledge these seats have never been out (I'm 2nd owner and my uncle was first and he never took them out) 7 of the 8 bolts matched and 1 was about 1/2" shorter. The seatbelt latches where different from one another. The plastic mechanisms are the same but the shaft and bolt holes where very different from one another. They obviously didn't care too much about weather they matched or not. Not that it really matters, just interesting.
Seats match up on table but not in car, Simple bracket.
Look good in car. Fat fastner, more narrow on passenger seat.
Driver seat has seen better days. Frame is broken.
