a gift............????????

Postby nervousnewowner » 15 Jun 2011 22:56

wife actually got me speechless last week, she sold her trike, and then gave me a cut of the sale to get the tr up and running......... a selfless act i thought til she added to the end of the sentence "then you can use it and i can have the focus back".........

however as is usual here, i'm up to the wire to get it done, my sons 306 just failed mot, and hes working til 8pm every night so muggings here doing the fail list, and then as soon as thats through i have to mot the focus, theeeeeeen i have to put the tr in for mot,

so initially the money is being held back, well most of it, shhhh dont tell wife, til mot time so i know i'll have money to get it through, then just a matter of getting it running tidy and if all to plan i will actually manage to make it to billing in the car!!!!! amazing the difference a small injection of cash makes to a project isnt it.....

still got the wife on my back though wondering why its still not done, i too have 8pm finishes and it rains and the other two cars, these are apparently excuses........

wives huh, dont you just love em.......

i know that feeling had a bit extra last month, that was the que for turbo on laguna to blow up, followed this weekend by coil spring breaking both times leaving me at the mercy of the AA, and inbetween daughter moves out expecting bank of mom and dad to carpet and furnish it as well as 2 new doors to be fitted in our house and a part stripped kitchen, no wander my missus gives me daggers every time i mention the TR[:D]

if you factor in the earth's rotation, we are all speeding

She was supposed to be paying for our new puppy but at this moment in time i am still waiting to see her contribution.[;)]

[:D] selfless women - it's like a unicorn, it is really ??

When I work on Triumph, it's like I'm wasting "their" resources

I always say it with colleagues like this: Women have a different perception of reality and mine and yours! It's good to know

Hello from Switzerland

My wife let me have £3000 to buy the tr, I think women are wonderful, she is selfless, I mean she took the kids to Skeg tod ay so me and a mate could take my other triumph sprinting at Curborough, I mean, what a women, can't say a bad word against her.

The international element to this forum means that people can make comments without comeback, I mean my wife is not likely to get on a plane to Canada and come and sort you out Ron, I mean its not like women have a vindictive bone in their bodies is it![B)]

Tell your misses, the weather forcast is not to good for the next 2 weeks Dave, or she will have you running everywhere.
At least then you should be able to work on the car.

list what list????????????

missed the 10 day deadline on sons 306 so thats finally going back for mot tomorrow, leaking cylinder was caused by the top spring coming off the shoe and chewing the seal up........... found out why when i used the haynes manual and the po obviosly hadn't as they had fitted the drivers side brakes to the passenger side and vice versa so handbrake levers were on the outside and every time handbrake was applied it was pushing the spring off!!!!!!! only prob then was the old slave cylinder was seized onto the car, so had to go old school and renewed the seals, worked a dream....... well will find out tomorrow if it passes anyway.....
