took them off mine, but i hate trim anyway, you wash any car and water drips from it and hides behind it for ages, and tr7s t=you only need to write water on them and they rust, if you do fit them stan use stronger tape as they will fall off with the tape in pic,.......[:p]

Get some extra wide pen stripe tape and use it...if you don't like it peel it back off...no holes...no problem....[:)]

This stuff is good for trim and number plates. The trim on one side of my TR become unatached, so I used some of this as a temporary fix.
It's still firmly fixed in place 4 years later [^]. Much easier than trim clips and drilling holes.

But here I have to agree, fitting the trim finishes the car of, especially with the sills in one colour.
On my FHC I filled up the back off the sill trim with a light body filler,
flattened that down and used special double sided (foam based) tape to fit them to the body.
And after 15 years they still are in place [:D]

My humble? I find that the black sills look clumsy and I think it gives the car a raised look and not the sleek hunkered down look that I desire.
I love the white sill look and would leave it completely clear of trim.
