Always look forward to Ace day, if only for that 'Breakfast!' All set for a 'both day weekend showtime' what with Bromley on the Sunday too. £100 worth of fuel in the tank & a £6.45 bottle of Millers too! Looking forward to eyeballing the Coker, Chris.

Arrived there early with my son and met up with John. The threat of heavy rain in the last few days appeared to keep a lot of the Triumphs away. We weren't the only 7's in the Village but it felt like that at times. The last time I was at The Ace Triumph day the car park was heaving but there were plenty of spaces this morning.

A number of Stags, GT6's, Spitfires, GT6 engined Spitfires, 7's and 7V8's made appearances before I left at 1pm.

As well as John's 4.6L V8 beast, we were joined by another owned by Ben (I hope I got the name right). I haven't seen it before -Cherry / Burgundy paint, integrated bumpers and spoiler with white interior.

Hi Adam,

Good to see you two yesterday.

Great pictures, shame not more there [:(] and hope this does not effect the holding of next years event, would be a shame. Didnt get away till half five ish, got chatting to a guy with a Stag and they do a water pump mod using a Ford pump removing the original pump, intresting who get to chat too down there.

Intrestingly, the very very clean Burgundy TR7 V8 is owned by a famous poet Benjamin Zephaniah, been on his site more details there-

That was one very tidy and straight 7V8 Benjamin had there. Although he said he was in the media, I just thought he was a cool unassuming bloke with a passion for Wedges......

Hi Adam,

Couldnt agree more, real nice guy as is his good lady. Was trying to find an email address to give him the heads up about the forum and TRDC. Must get hold of some TRDC membership fliers to give out.

I only found out when i was talking to a Stag owner who he was, my daughters both know of his poetry as they read it at school as part of there GCSE's.

One if not the best modified interior i have seen, puts Grinnal to shame, that will cause an argument [:p]
