How many left?

Postby Rust Restorer » 10 Jun 2011 18:50

Some might find this intereting or frightning. Pity the rarity does not affect value!

Andy,

Does show a large drop over the years, but agree does not show in the value currently but we can live in hope?

Appalling. The TR Register in NZ knows of 131 cars which is pretty good on a per capita basis but now I know I have such a rare car I'd better stop driving it.

It's definitely frightening.
We just can't let this decline continue anymore.
It's very sad !!

I think this represents how many cars are taxed on the road, the numbers have increased slightly over the last couple of years. If you type in TR6, their numbers have almost doubled. There's over three times as many 6's as there are 7's. Hopefully as our cars become more popular they will get restored an put back on the road and their numbers will increase. [:)]

Hi,

Intresting and thought there were more than that, my FHC is not on there i think as it was off the road before SORN came in.

Have you looked at TR8 [:0] the numbers go up and down like a fiddler elbow !!

Is that just in the UK? Years back I think there were something like 80 NA TR8s at the TRF Summer Party. Somewhat rare maybe but not much demand either.

More disturbing is the question of how many cars are needed to support Rimmers, S&S and Robsport? Rimmers scare off a lot of overseas people due to their version of freight prices but Rob Sport on the other hand is good to overseas buyers.

I can confirm these figures are incorrect. I believe the real numbers are being printed in the next issue of The TR Driver so all will be revealed then. And it's actually surprisngly good news too.

Interesting to compare to the MGB, if correct there are over 10000 on the uk roads[:0]

And something over 13000 morris Minors.

Add my Ruby to the list although she is unlicenced and was last on the road 1987[:0]

As a matter of very interesting importance a work colleague of mine yesterday mentioned how many TR7's he spotted on the road over the weekend[:D]

Coincidence[?]

The car is unable to handle my driving capabilities
