Oldest Pic of your Wedge

Postby Steve-LPS-Thomas » 21 Mar 2011 18:34

Just found this pic of my first TR7 in an old photo album.. taken 32 years ago! I'd sold my VW Camper in order to buy the TR and so I was religated to a tent. Anybody else got any old wedge pix?

2006 - first overnight stop at Redding, California and first sleep in 42 hours after bus trip down to Sacramento. Driving it back to Canada after being stored for 7 years. Oil and filter had been changed as well as dizzy cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Looks good for being stored for 7 years doesn't it? Note California trip temporary licence paper in the window....honoured by Oregon and Washington.

I'd have to scan my old 35mm pics to go back to day one (circa 1998) , but the oldest digital pic I'd have is from may 2004.

The picture was taken in 1984, parked by my girlfriends apartment at the time. It is an 1979 Brooklands Green TR7 (it looks darker).I purchased it new in 1980 and is waiting to be restored.

This is my 1978 tr7 sprint conversion hopefully by the end of this year. The pictures were taken last fall sometime. My friend Terry Merrell gave me this almost rust free shell, but need some minor body work to be done.

1979 when the 1975 TR7 was being made into a race car. You can see the cage, flares and the steering wheel pad for headrest, also slicks to be mounted. Car this last fall just after paint.

Keep 'em coming! The forum has been a bit quiet lately. I've got more somewhere, including my Wedding 25 years ago. I'll try and search them out.

OK John, I have to ask. What prompted a shot of the coupe in front of the graveyard.?

This is my 1st TR7 I bought when we were living (if you can call that living!) in Buffalo, NY. This must have been on a trip to Vermont in 1996. That car is no longer with me but the woman is. Funny how things work out. [:D]

These pics are from 1996 according to my inspection stickers. I'm sure I have older pics from when it was still French Blue. They must be at mom's house. I had some sweet hair back then! Now it's all gone.[:(] Still have that girl though! I will always be able to say that I've had the car longer.[:D] She saw me posting these and reminded me that I wanted her to put on a bikini and hop on the hood! Sorry I wasn't more convincing back then. [:)]
Wish I knew how to clean the inside of the glass on my scan bed. These pics look pretty good in person.
