Hello again!!

Postby pupinabox » 16 Mar 2011 13:02

It has been a long time since I have visited the forums!!

I spent all last summer working on my conversion. Just me, my shop manual, and my dog. Finally by the fall I had things about 95% done and she looks gorgeous. I put about 100 miles on her and nothing went flying off so I think I did a pretty decent job for not knowing what I was doing. I was really getting excited about posting some pictures because I am damn proud of myself, then it happened.

Sometime around October I tore my shoulder up at work. Since then I have been having surgeries, been in a sling, and on enough medication to choke an elephant. Frankly, this is the first time I have felt decent enough to drag myself to the computer and hunt and peck with my left hand only.

I am really depressed thinking about my baby sitting in the garage under her cover. The weather here has just started to break, and that is making it worse. I don't know when I will be able to get back to finishing her up, I start physical therapy in a week, but right now my right shoulder and arm may as well be an anchor.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi, as a side effect of all this is I am going stir crazy. Hopefully I can get things finished up in a couple months or so and get some pictures up.

(PS: Nello, I sent u a PM)

Sorry to hear of your troubles Pup, good luck with it.

Once you can change gear easily, you may find some gentle motoring quite therapeutic, I know I do.

Forget the gentle motoring, drop the roof down, get out in the lovely sun and open her up.[:D]

Sorry to hear about accident. Don't push that shoulder rehab too fast or it will take longer. Nice and steady progress stays the course. Ease into it like the weather so you can take advantage of it.

Perhaps when you visit the therapist, ask specifically about driving the car and the motions involved, it could even be good therapy for the arm.
Either way, looking at the brighter side you have a good goal for motivation.

Pup Welcome back! I know how you feel. I haven't been here much either or working on my car lately due to a c6-c7 disc herniation. I can't even hold my tools. Spinal fusion time!!!! The first thing I asked the doc.... "How long before I can work on my car"

Pup,

I hope that you will be better soon. I know about being sick and not being able to work on your car. I will keep you in my prayers.
