Alternator parts - Amazed

I probably shouldn't be, but I am amazed that I could get spare parts for the Lucas 17ACR alternator - thats brushes and a regulator - over the counter at a supplier in Johannesburg.

Now to fit them !

US$ 45 is a lot mor ethan I paid for the parts. R 46.00 works out to about US$ 7 at current rates.
