Rimmer Bros Special Offers

Postby john 215 » 05 Feb 2011 12:30

Hi,

Just received Rimmers now annual special offers sheet, had a quick look, but to be honest, i can get the same parts at the same prices from Robsport or S&S Preperation and get advice from someone who know our cars.

My advice would be get a price from Robsport or S&S Preperation before buying.

Cheers John

There are a few good deals on the sheet but a lot of it is just saving the equivalent of the VAT, & our friends overseas would not pay VAT anyway.

Mind you Rimmers are keen, I received no less than 5 copies of the offer leaflet, in separate envelopes. Maybe they could reduce their postage overheads & pass on the savings to us [:D]

Same here Tony, two copies yesterday and three more today.

One thing I did notice is that on the website I am sure the US rear bumper cover can only be bought complete with the bar and fitting kit but in the 'sales' leaflet the cover is listed on its own, I am tempted but just ordered a new windscreen as well, sale is on until March, hopefully there'll be one left for me [:D]

Cheers, Paul

Interesting that you would want the US bumper. I'd rather have the UK bumper and not have those 2 big "nobs" sticking out. I also think the US one is heavier. I guess the grass seems greener on the other side, no matter which side you are on.

I like the US type bumper better. Unique otherwise looks like all the other bumpers out there. I guess the grass is greener on my side of the fence.

No big savings this year unlike last year that had up to 70% savings and necessitated a huge order.[:(]

Rimmers never seem to knock any money off. Was £411 now only £409.99. I must say that the leaflet was very colourful though!

Hi,

The biggest problem i have had in the past with there 'special offers' is if you dont quote the offer code then no discount [:(!]

had the leaflet too, but the bits i was looking at, the quarter window top rubbers and the bits on the backs of the doors to stop the windows rattling, seem cheaper in the sale brochure than robsport and james paddock, but when you go on rimmers website they still show full price.

as for the colourfull leaflets..... well you dont think all the profits go straight into the companies pockets do you...lol[:p]
