Hi all
Just another question
What is the difference in the indicator stick assembly
I was looking at the photos on http://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/Stock.asp ... category=7
and looking at parts and so i looked at the photos that were with the units and found that the same photo was used and therfore there is no difference in these parts yet they have different part no.
rtc1788 indicator switch lhd up to 79 30 UK
rtc1791 indicator switch rhd up to 79 40 UK
10 Difference
Being Aus we are the same as the English.
Therefore RHD
But can see no difference in the photos

PS
I found some sort of switchs/buttons on the bottom of my dash board and wondered what they are? They are made of steel and have a wound wire around them.

On the earlier models, the indicator stalk was on the left for LHD vehicles, and the right for RHD vehicles. Later vehicles had the stalk on the left for both LHD and RHD vehicles.

It a shame James Paddock has only got a couple of images on that list, so you cannot see the differences - & you are right, it's the same image for both items which isn't very helpful!

As Mark says, the indicator & wiper stalks swapped sides for RHD cars from 79 on, I think. So the RHD & LHD cars had the same layout, indicators on the left & wipers on the right. The style of the buttons on the end of the stalk also changed, the picture you can see on the JP website is the earlier style.

Hi Sunnie
I think the two switches under the dash are one for the clock reset and the other is for the trip omiter reset.
