15" wheels offset and diameter??!

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

15" wheels offset and diameter??!

Postby ponyboyone » 03 Feb 2008 16:23

Ok we are going to break down and buy two front wheels for our fabulous race car http://www.petepaulsen.com/Catalogofwheels/Circle%20Track%20Wheels.htm my question is what is the max diameter and correct offset for the 205-45, or 215-45 tires to fit our 1976 TR7 coupe?

15" wheels are surprisingly 15" diameter! Does your car still have the standard hubs with the 3.75" PCD ? Not many wheels made to fit that size. However MGF wheels happen to fit very nicely - although you probably need to buy them in UK since I don't think MGF ever made it across the Atlantic. Dunno why - but if it had i'm sure MG would still be alive and kicking today.

The original size is 185/70x13. I have 7" wide wheels with ET10 offset. These are OK at the front, but need the rear wheel arch lip removing.

Paulsen wheelshttp://www.petepaulsen.comwill custom make steel wheels for $39 each, raw (not painted). So 7" wide in the front will work with ET10 offset? What is ET10? We have a Ford 9" diff. in back so wheels should not be a problem to find, but we still plan to fold the rear wheels arch lip.
Thanks
Chris
