"Big" brake upgrade (Viper/EVO8) for 16" wheels

I am posting this outside of my usual "Variants" thread because this is one of the few things on my project that is actually applicable to most members. [:D]

I was never quite happy with the usual Volvo/Escort brake upgrade, it just wasn't "big enough" for my taste. So I decided to do something on my own!

Jclay, can I put a link to your site to give people an example of Volvo/Escort brakes? How much do they weigh?

Does anyone have the weight of stock rotors and calipers? I measured my before I sold them, but I misplaced those measurements.[B)]

Thanks John!

I would imagine that Viper parts are a bit scarce in England, but they do appear on US Ebay every now and then. And with current exchange rate, it makes them even more of a bargain! The trick is going to be to find someone willing to ship to England.

I am looking to buy an adaptor from TR7 "hard line to the caliper" to -3 or -4 AN. Does anyone know what size/style of flair that is?

Also, does anyone have with a scale have stock brakes kicking around? I am still trying to find the weight of stock rotors and calipers.

Thanks!
