TR7 Map Light

Postby Graham Robertson » 29 Oct 2007 12:09

My car has an annoying hole in the vinyl covered panel behind the seats, where a map light has long since been removed. I've been looking for a replacemnt light for a while (on ebay, etc) with no luck, but I've discovered S & S Preparations have them seconhand for £10! (They have more than one if anyone else has the same problem).

I've got a brand new one, still boxed, if anyone is interested.

I have only seen one 7 with it's original map light still fitted, but it seemed like a useful item. Shame it was only fitted to early cars.

Hi Tony,

I'd be interested in your new one. How much do you want for it?

When I bought 't Kreng ('81 FHC) some 14 years ago it came complete with this maplight.
Judging by the way it was connected it was factory fitted.
To be honest it was one of the very few things on the car that was wired correctly [:I]

Mine still has the original map light. And yes, it still works. Very useful too.

What a lovely interior! That map light really does make the beautiful red tartan sparkle.
