Speaking of air/intakes/etc...has anyone replaced the "breadbox" airbox with K&N stand alone filters? Feel better? Sound better? Mileage improvement? Anything? I just scored a pair off on eBay, if weather holds up,will put them on today.

Fiveliters - if you fit the K&N cone filters to SU carbs then you will probably need to change to richer needles or else you will have a weak mixture. I am not sure of the recommended needle code for this, although BAL sticks in my mind for some reason. Check first.
With the right needles the K&Ns are supposed to give a modest BHP improvement, but you really need a tubular exhaust manifold as well to make the most of it, basically letting the engine breath better - another 15 to 20 BHP is possible I understand.
