Door card restoration

The door cards from the gold convertible had suffered badly from the usual fading and uv damage to the vinyl. I decided to try and restore them using a colourant product and found one that seems to work quite well from a company in the UK called The Scratch Doctor. The product is their All In One Colourant for leather and vinyl. It took multiple coats of this and also the use of their Tinting kit to get the coverage and correct shade of tan but the results are pretty good and much cheaper than buying new door cards from Rimmers. Before and after shown in picture.

Thanks Howard. Out of interest, which product did you use?

I used a spray by TRG from the internet. The colour I chose was Saddle Tan which may be a bit too tan but for stand alone pieces its fine and covers the nasty greying that occurs over time. I would try a different shade in the future poss. Chamois or Camel to get a closer match,-trial and error here!
