I hope someone can help, may daughter has returned home with her classic mini (1988) with LHS (horn)
one in pieces( push bit),these are the same Lucas stalk controls on the TR.
Now not sure I have all the pieces and it feels that something is missing, would anyone know how they
go together or have a drawing of the assembly.
Many thanks.

Well Beans,
Not got around to taking photo, but all I have, parts wise is the spring and the detachable
end section, which has a central section ( small cylindrical in shape with tapered cone style end)
inside, which would appear to relate to the 2 metal strips rising up from within the main lower
section of this casing.
The inside of the end section creates the contact for the horn, but no horn is sounded, when
assembled, its springs in and out, just not horn.

Yes it is, I know |I can buy new, but not at that stage yet, so would like to
know how the stalk is made up,not so sure if missing a part, because I can get it together but
spring not then working or contact being made for horn.

I`ve not had a TR7 stalk apart but it all looks fairly similar to others such as Vauxhall Magnum and the like (albeit the stalks are opposite hand).
If a TR7 stalk follows the same system then the push button you have has a contact ring that when depressed touches the two copper legs, one is connected to the aluminium stalk arm (its alloy under the black finish), the other to a wire that runs down the center of the stalk tube. At the other end of the stalk a wire, in the main switch body!- (usually purple and black) is staked to the alloy tube outer and this and the center wire runs to the plug/socket with the others. In my experience the wire staked to the alloy outer can fracture at the staking point with time with usage and then no circuit can me made to sound the horn.
Does this seem to be like yours, can anybody confirm if this description makes sense for a TR7 stalk??

Thanks Howard,
Cracked it, placed small washer, similar sized diameter to the spring in the top section, re assembled and it works.
Great outcome and saved me £30 for new stalk.Result.
