If by size you mean the overall diameter mine is approximately 345mm. That is a Solihull '81 model.

I have the original 14" wheel in the 7, & a flash looking 13" in the 8. The increase in effort when parked or just moving with the 13" wheel is much greater than you would expect, considering everything on the 8 is in mint condition, & she was done after the 7.

I have had 3 steering wheels in my car:

The first one the standard Triumph wheel ( i am sure it was 14")

Next the all black Mountney 13" But found this to small ( could not see all the dials on the dashboard)

so i got this Mountney 14", still on the car

To paraphrase: There where several different designs of the TR7 wheel as the years past, all 14". The TR8 got a 13" wheel (made in France), the smaller size not a problem as the TR8 had power steering. They put the TR8 wheel on the TR7 Spider and 30th Anniversary Special Edition cars for the "look", which didn't have power steering and low speed turning required more muscle. It also retained the defect (for many) of being too small for the car as it blocked out the turn signal dash lights and with road noise covering the clicking, you couldn't see if the signals where on (if not auto shutting off after a turn). When my Spider's wheel lost some chunks of leather I replaced it with an identical 14" wheel and can now see the turn signal dash lights. The extra mechanical advantage helps a little and no one notices the slightly larger (back to normal size) wheel while still retaining the look.

The wheel I posted the size of was the '81 Solihull wheel with the solid silver spokes. I measured is approximately as it has a padded leather cover on it, 13.5" rings a bell for them for some reason which seems to correlate reasonably. It is handy in the garage as the car has a 13" Motolita fitted. I was wary of the added effort which may be required but as my son bought it for me I thought I would try it. It did not seem to make any noticeable difference to the already heavy steering at parking speeds and is fine on the road although, as noted, you cannot see the indicator tell-tales.
