Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Fuel Hose internal diameter

Postby MikeRotherham » 11 Apr 2017 12:10

Could anyone give me the correct internal diameter of the fuel pipe on our cars?
I'm wanting to replace the fuel pipe between the main feed pipe and the fuel pump.
Rimmers are selling 1/4" diameter but I've also read 8mm mentioned elsewhere or does the slight difference not matter?
Best place to get it and avoid the poor quality stuff that is around?
Thanks
Mike.

You need 8mm for the feed pipe to pump, and pump to fuel rail. 6mm for fuel rail to carbs. I buy it from eBay.

I get mine from local auto parts dealer. Being FI, I get high pressure hose which is pretty cheap (not the expensive direct injection hose) and if you have alcohol in your gas, make sure it's alcohol resistant.
