Fuel Injection Air Flow Meter Options?

I'm wondering if you can use a 7-pin Bosch air flow meter from other cars in the 80s and 90s. The stock AFM on the TR7 has its problems with the wiper track and the later AFMs are much better quality. The later 7-pin AFMs where used on toyotas, jaguars, and mazda miatas. Any ideas?
