Heater Control Lighting

It may be just me but I have never found the lighting effective above the heater controls. When I first got the car I would be checking to see if the bulbs where on.
Last nite I was working on reinstalling the original AM/FM cassette (Panasonic) radio, and I took the the visor off to clean the green lenses, and then it hit me.
I took the dremel and drilled a small hole in the center of each lense, slightly smaller then 1/8".
It worked!
Much better lighting but still nice a green glow.
Its a cheap fix.
By the way the radio works great too!
