Hi,

Can you hear a clicking from the glovebox when you attempt to start her, i assume the starter is not working, if no clicking noise then poss starter relay or wiring to and from it. Not unknown to fail.

Cheers John

If all the connections on the starter are OK (check the spade connection on the small one, they corrode inside) its most likely the starter relay. Hides to one side of the fuses at the back of the glovebox, often blue in colour IIRC. Try cleaning the terminals. Its slightly different from a standard relay (= costs more from the specialists), I couldn't get it from the local factor. With mine, I had it dangling into the passenger footwell for a while with the top loosely fitted. To start just turned the ignition on and worked the relay with my fingers.

Yah I had the same problem, not dirty starter wire connections, not solenoid, not relay but the connection block that plugs into starter relay was dirty/corroded. I had cleaned it but had to clean it again after an initial complete car wide connector cleaning a year earlier.
