Hi Gaz,
Nice looking row of cars [:D] Yours looks the best [8D] TVR,s are great cars but the build quality makes BL,even in the darkest of dark days, look reasonable! We have taken a few in as part ex,s at work and they seemed to fall apart daily!
Paul, saw that blue DHC over at Robsports about the same time you did, made a good job of that paint, the owner turned up to have a look at whilst i was there ,leave judgement on the screen surround till built up i think, idea borrowed from the MGF,our body shop was full up with those being sprayed body colour 'back in the day'!
Hope the little un is ok Gaz and not keeping you and Mrs Gaz up all night, they say the first 16 years are the worse [;)]
Cheers John.

Nice pics, Gaz..........IMHO you really need some shiny alloys, they would look great with that (Cavalry?) blue paint.
Nice looking Sunbeam Alpine in amongst those TVRs.

NOoooo Not black wheels after all that work you have done

with that colour you have to go just a weeeeee bit bling

Possibly not chrome but at least a silver alloy

it will set it off

[size=4]Ok ……… the other issues unfortunately ….it was as originally thought, and my worst fears have been now realised…
Mayonnaise type deposits under the oil filler cap……grey/brown oil in the dipstick tube having to top up my water levels by as much as 2litres after a twenty minute trip a very greasy header tank (water) although the car was running like a dream well as good as it ever has in the 300 miles that ive driven it………….
!!!!!!HEAD GASKET!!!!! AAAGGGHHH!!!!!………..
Well my mechanic managed to get the head off after about a day/day and a half of drilling the bolts out and swinging the car from his garage roof
And yes….. the cylinder head is knackered not from him I must add
So that’s where the lads from S&S come in to play……one recon, cylinderhead, one new bolt set, one new head gasket seal set, a new timing chain all and any other bits and pieces we may need along the way

so i geuess the wheels will have to wait for yet another day.......
I’ll keep you all posted as it all progresses……

Black wheels? Leave the wheel trims off, get yourself some chrome trim rings, chrome wheel centres and chrome nuts. Bling on the cheap!
