I want this since I want it to look original to the casual
viewer. The oil pressure gauge will be found in another location where it will look OK, and still not look
as an afterthought or worse yet; a DPO hack...

quote:
Mine stopped working last autumn. I recently had the dash apart to replace the (non working) instrument lighting with LED bulbs. While the dash was in pieces I had a number of trials to get the bulbs working, connecting the battery each time. Lo and behold the clock started working again. Put the whole lot back together and switched on - lights work but the clock has stopped again!

Your clock sounds like a prime candidate for Gregs fix.

colour LED as colour of the shine-through filter if you want a perfect result. I fitted red LED lights to all the
red positions [N.B! bar the ignition light where it's important with both ways conductivity, something LED
lights are incapable of...] and then two green LEDs to the direction indicators and a single blue one to
the main beam indicator. They all work like a charm. Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate any
Amber T5 LED lights - so the tank level warning light is still an ordinary bulb. If anyone have a lead on
amber T5 LED units I'm willing to swap for red, green or blue ones [that I have in surplus]...
