Would like to thank Cobber for his descrption of how the Pektron works - trying to reverse engineer it from the circuit diagrams in the manual (without access to my car) had me tearing my hair out...

I will include his explanation with the drawing since its is not easy to understand.

Its taken much longer to finish than I expected since I am trying to fill in the gaps in the information from the original Triumph & Hayes drawings. This is the first detail section which covers the headlamp raise / lower system and the main/dip/flash circuits. The next section will cover the windscreen wiper circuit and the final drawing will show the complete wiring diagram.

Please let me know if you spot any errors so they can be corrected before I upload the final AutoCAD file

A lot of work but I was expecting a colour coded diagram matching the actual colour of the wires much like these Spitfire diagrams which makes it easier to follow. Check out these Spitfire ones.

I fully agree the colouring makes it easier to trace the wires on a standard vehicle & I tried this with my first attempt.

In AutoCAD it is possible to create two adjacent lines of different colours to indicate a single wire, but even when printed in A3 on a high resolution laser printer one colour tended to vanish. Also some of the colours did not print well so I abandoned wire colouring.

My main objective is to produce a file that can be modified to match my vehicle and by anyone else who has AutoCAD/Draftsight etc. so I rearranged the drawing to make it much easier to follow and added the internal details to assist with fault finding. The first two sheets of my final drawing will be uploaded this week which will cover the main lighting circuits, flasher/hazard circuit & windscreen wiper/washer circuits.
