Front Disc Dust Shields - is there a solution?

Here’s where to discuss anything specific about your standard(ish) car or something that applies to the model in general.

Front Disc Dust Shields - is there a solution?

Postby Howard722 » 23 Mar 2023 12:14

These seem to be as rare as hens teeth and the odd ones I`ve seen crop up are pretty grim.
I assume they are deemed `not really necessary` but good to have.
I found this one which somebody has `made` from a shield from another make and welded on the centre bolt-up ring taken from a TR7 shield. The whole thing is a little rough but you get the idea - and only one bolt-up hole was used!
Does anybody recognise the make of the shield they used ?
Are there other options?- not too many candidates methinks for our disc size! :?:

I don't run them on my cars.
We used to remove them on our rally cars to improve brake cooling and I do the same on my TR7s
