Brake Hoses for TR7

Hi all
Just wondered if there are any other souce for brake hoses. Have a collapsed basck one and need to repalced them all.
Just wondered if it is easie to get them made up.
Aust would be best.

In the UK these are available from all the usual suspects (Rimmers, S&S, James Paddock, Robsport etc) who will export for a price. I even managed to get some from my local general factor, although not stocked they were on next day delivery from the supplier. These were standard rubber with coilover protection. For heavy/track usage many prefer Aeroquip type which I think are available in most countries.
I am sure some of your compatriots will be along shortly with local suppliers.

Sunnie, take your old ones to Beenleigh Bearings, & they will
replace them, no trouble, & at a good price.
Otherwise, Greg Tunstall, or British Auto Care will supply them.

I use a longer hose on the rear, as it allows you to remove the fuel
tank, rear road springs, & other such things, without having to open
the brake systen, & the then bleed it again.

Sorry Sunnie, its about 5 years or more since I replaced them.
Probably due to replace them now, again.

All I remember is thst the hose looked almost tight, with the car
jacked up, with the axle hanging on the shocks. I have no idea if
that was original or not. I got one 6 inches longer, & could R&R the
fuel tank without disconnecting it.

Had to be a little carefull when fitting it, to make sure it could
not rub on anything.

Hi,

I went for the braided hoses when the std items needed replacing. They add a bit of extra feel and cut down the pedal travel a touch. They may cost approx 70% more than the originals but they aren't an expensive item relatively speaking.

After all, the Wedge's brakes need all the help that they can get.

I agree with the longer rear hose idea - it's a menace renewing the tank with the standard hose. Does anyone know the size of the fittings on that rear hose (are they m10x1 thread as per rest of the braking system ?) - and what is the 'ideal' length ?
