Volvo 4 pot calipers and Ford Escort rotors?

Team wedginator would like to update the brakes on our TR7, has anybody heard of the volvo 4pot calipers and ford escort rotors conversion? I think it used and adapter to fit the rotors. Any help would be much appreciated!
