Not been a good week for me

Postby stevie_a » 24 May 2015 09:39

As title said "Not been a good week for me"
Got the TR M.O.T last Friday, passed with no advisories :D
All down hill from there, had a show to attend with my club, got up early got the car ready filled up the trailer with
all the things i have to bring ( gazebo, table, flag and pole kettle etc)
went in to Asda to get tea bags.

got out the car, locked the doors with the remote ( remembering i don't have door locks )
all was fine, returned the to the car, opened it, still ok.

I drove away on attempting to join the motorway i realized i had no indicators

On inspection i now had no door locking or alarm, so assumed it was the alarm to blame, purchased a new one and fitted it, the indicators flash with the alarm but not when i want to indicate on there own.

can some one tell me where the live feed for the indicators is, is there a separate fuse that i can't see?

Maybe the alarm is using the hazard circuit to flash the indicators, the direction indicators use a separate flasher unit, maybe that's knackered?

I did think of that but on looking the alarm is tapping into the indicators strait at the stock i.e left and right feeds

All fuses were ok
alarm now out the car, had old original flasher unit in and they kind of work now.
far to fast.
ordered new electronic flasher unit from e-bay

Do you know Halfords now have discontinued to stock the flasher unit.

Just thought I would put that out there.
