Any handy tips on how to get at the fill plug? It's a bl**dy nightmare to reach tucked up above the exhaust ... I remove the exhaust bracket - which helps slightly...but my hands are almost as large as yours Mildred... [;)] if only the fill plug was on the other side of the gearbox... [:(!]

You don't happen to have a 'how to' on changing the rear axle oil??

At the rear of the gearbox, partly hidden by the rubber mounting, is a drain plug for the pump. If you run the engine and remove this plug, you will flush out any swarf etc. that has accumulated in the pump area.

Mildred, I love the use of the saucepan to drain the oil into. When you use it for cooking afterwards does it affect the flavours?
