Rather than using Philips headed screws I sometimes like to use Allen headed screws as this gives a better purchase on the screw head especially with ones that are difficult to get at plus an Allen wrench can get at spots the a regular type of screw drivers can't. We don't have a Lowes here yet, but the little town I live in has two (yes that's two) specialty industrial fastener companies one an offshoot of the local auto parts store the other a giant chain where if they don't have it in stock you can order it in from a huge catalogue, even if it's a screw or two.
