hello,

I've been trying to re-fit my recently polybushed rear axle and it's taken me all afternoon, without any luck

i just cant seem to get the 4 mounting points to line up enough to get the bolts in....

I'm wondering if anyone here has a tried and tested method to re-fit the rear axle?

Hi,
I have always used the same method as Beans, fit arms to the axle first then manouver into place on a jack and get lower arms in first with of combination of raising the jack gradualy and pushing arms into body brackets, poss using a alignment spike to align holes, i found it was harder with poly bushes than standard which are fairly easy.
Good Luck,
Cheers John.

Agreed; A line up punch is your best friend on this job. Use the punch and brute force to line up the hole then pop the bolt in the other end of the bushing and give it a gentle tap with your percussive adjuster.
Worked for me!
