Hey, me and a friend have just made this. Sorry, the car's not on the road yet but will be march/april and will probably take more footage. Enjoy, it's only a 1min long. [8D] Tell me what you think, the car especially.

Not alot mate. Oil + filter change, air filter change, new steering wheel and a good sound system. That's pretty much it, and a nice exhaust note on it. [;)] Easy stuff really. But when it's on the road, new problems will spring up i'm sure.

Hey Guys, the reverse lights are indeed a requirement of the MOT. Section 6 under lighting "reverse direction lamps" .[;)]
I hate MOTs, next time the bloke goes down my sills with a hammer im going to wrap it round his b**tard neck !!! [:(!]
Pheeew.... haha. Mine failed on the headlights being set too low last time so allowed him to adjust for me to get it through and had to put it all back again afterwards, the lights on highbeam were pointing skyward and guiding in aircraft!!

No reverse lights are not a requirement for the MOT. She sailed through a few months ago anyway so I don't have to worry about it all summer

I'll refrain from the rant on this one but this is what annoys me with MOT's. The standards vary from area to area and depending on who you see. I have taken my car in its earlier stages of its rolling restoration with definite issues and have had them passed in an instant, other times they have picked up on the most nitpicky things. There seems to be a complete lack consistency.
Rear parking lights are not essential for older vehicles to pass HOWEVER just as in foglights, if they are fitted (which they are, as standard) they MUST be operational. With the supposed strct procedure of the new style elctronic MOT youd think this would have ended but it definately hasnt.
Aside from the winge, they are pretty handy for letting the nutters knows when you are moving backwards towards them lol [:D]
