Hi All,

Did anyone know that there is a kit car based on the TR7 ?
Well there is !!

I've just seen the Ad on ebay, it turns the 7 into a Ferrari Daytona spyder (not that I'd want to) but someone has done it, it doesn't look to bad, see what you think...?

Don't you just love it when they say stuff like this!

IT ALSO NEED THE REAR AXLE WELDING ON A QUARTER OF AN INCH OVER

ITS BEEN WELDED ON BUT SLIGHTLY OFF THIS DOESNT EFFECT HOW THE CAR DRIVES HOWEVR WOULD NEED TO BE CHANGED SOONER OR LATER

Oh and the steering rack has play too....Love all the half-a$$ed stuff people try to sell when they realize they can't figure it out,or it simply can't be done to be safely roadworthy, or well beyond their financial boundaries....No thanks! I'll spend a little more and buy a Fiat Dino that will always be more Ferrari than a great pretender. But that's just me and I'm weird![:o)]

A mate of mine has got a kit of this in his lock up.Made by Robin Hood engineering if i remember rightly. He bought it maybe 15 years
ago, along with a crashed TR7V8 to use as doner.Still aint finished
it,as everything wont fit properly! He refuses to sell the Vitesse
3.5i v8 lump to me coz "one day i'll get it done, even if it kills
me".The body looks pants to say the least, every thing needs re -
shaping and at least a ton of filler. It'll never see the light of
day!

See ya. Paul

Certainly way better than the Tr40 which is a truly dreadful thing. But £17k - hmm - maybe £1.7k - when properly finished.

ive been to see this daytona copy today it is really impressive. and sounds great between 2 of us we could,t spot the problem with rear axle everthing seems correct but o/s wheel protrudes body by about 1/4 inch my bet is wheel spacer missing you never know !!! the guy is in the forces and took this in part ex on a 355 replica and just doesnt have time or space to devote to it it is taxed till march, someone has spent a s***t load of money on it and everthing is there to complete. i am so tempted but it would proberbly be years before i got around to it. if it does go for around the 2k mark it would be a terrific buy. meanwhile i must focus on my own 7
