Just been to see a dhc advertised in the tr regeister magazine that has been off the road since 1990. It had a genuine 30,600 miles on it but unfortunately the years had not been good to it and the body is beyond economical repair. The dashboard however is like new and will be going into my restoration including the one good panel left on the car, the push button bootlid. There are also some good blue seats and door cards including the best pair of blue sun visors I have ever seen which will come up for sale shortly.

The car itself was persian aqua and the vin number is

sattpadj7aa 406689

I have done some checking and as far as I can make out it was made in the last six months of production at solihull and if my calculations are correct in around the last two months. Can anyone varify this.

The price of this little gem. £50

If it doesn't fit you obviously need a bigger hammer.

By the VIN the car is just 97 vehicles before my FHC, which was made in June 81. So this DHC was probably made in the same month. What a shame such a low mileage car had been left to deteriorate to that extent.

Samco - if the door cards are v good condition might be interested as spares for my FHC. Presume they are blue check with square door lock buttons? Let me know will you? Thanks.

Hopefully XFP 530Y will be back on the road next year.

Tony they are blue check and when I get the car back to mine I will clean up all of the items and post piccies. Then you can see how good they are. I expect to be having a bit of a sale around Xmas time as I have two cars to scrap.

If it doesn't fit you obviously need a bigger hammer.

Thanks Samco, that's fine. You're not that far away from me so if they are decent I can collect. The seats would be good too but I would be struggling to find storage space!

This is off topic, but speaking of barn finds a friend of mine sent me this link to the king of all barn finds! Sadly no TR7s that I could pick out of the pics.

Yes its is now black. I will post some new pics shortly. I have done it myself with cellulose and it had 9 coats and has been colour sanded or wet flatted as I know it so the shine is like nothing you see on a new car. Cant wait to get it on the road

If it doesn't fit you obviously need a bigger hammer.
