In Car and Classic there is Triumph TR7 with an asking price of £30,200. I wish the vendor every success with the sale. supercass

The TR7 is leaving it's cheap identity behind ...
But with such rubbish pictures you won't sell a TR7 at that price :P

Hi supercass,

last year there was a brand new convertible TR7 for sale in the Netherland.
It was built in 1980 and had only 22 miles on the counter and was stored in a garage
since then. The colour was pharaoh gold with brown check tan. The price was 12.500€.
I assume the first owner drove it only from the dealer to the garage. Unbelievable.
If i wouldn't have a car, i would have bought it.
I believe one day the prices of all our TR7 and TR8 will climb up high as the old BMW's
1502-2002.
I never will sale my car, because i spend much time on repairing it and bring it on the
road again after 7 years :D . The magic number.

regards

There are a couple of 7s for sale in Oz also at high prices.

One a 1980 Triumph TR7 PRO with 81,500 kilometres on it, the PRO being a special model built for a one make race series, for A$44,000, & a 1980 TR7 with 98,000 kilometres on it for A$17,000. Both look to be in great condition.

My insurance company this year suggested an agreed value of A$12,000 for mine, slowly climbed from A$5,000 in 2002. In comparison my Honda S2000 has climbed from A$26,000 in 2012 to A$50,000 in agreed value today with the same insurer.

We just had our club car show. There was a TR7 that looked mint, needs nothing, SS sports exhaust. The guy that has it has gone over it the few years he's had it (he has another he's putting a V8 in). He was asking $5,000 Cdn. Had one guy come back 5 times to look at it buy no offer by the time we were about to leave. Trying to get my neighbor lady to buy it.
