TR7 Hazard Flasher Relay Location

Hopefully, this is not a silly question but I cannot find the hazard flashing light relay. I think I need to replace it as the hazard lights do not come on, but the indicators are all OK.

I think it is under the drivers dash but I cannot find it.

Can anyone give me a clue please.

Hazard one is behind the glovebox ... you can reach it from the passenger footwell.

On my 81 DHC with the 12 way fuseboard the only access to the hazard flasher was from the front via the glovebox which is very restricted.

As I was replacing it to fit an electronic flasher to match the LED bulbs, I completely removed the old flasher & extended the wires to the area below the central console cover and installed it there - I also added a separate fuse to protect the flasher supply.

I have usually seen them clipped on the corner of the fuse box mounting, access is from underneath and not too difficult. Easier to see here with the dash removed

IIRC on my DHC, undo the locational screws on the fuse box and it can be slid downwards behind the dashboard a few inches in to the footwell for better access.

You can generally reach it without needing to do that, it sort of sticks down on that corner.

Thanks for all the help and the picture. I have now located it and like you say it was hanging down. I have ordered this one:

Adjustable flashing rate, not seen that before.

If the rate is faster than nothing (what I have currently), I will be happy :-)
