Hi Mals1960,
I had the same issue with excessive front ride height when I fitted the Ford strut top bearings. I ended up removing them and replacing with the alternative bearing kit which is supplied by Rimmer Brothers and also I believe the Wedge Shop have them as well. This kit fits in place of the standard nylon thrust bush and washer and is no thicker, hence no increase in ride height.
