TR7 Steering Wheel question

Is it possible to remove the three `silver spokes`from the later version of the steering wheel PKS1551 without damaging anything?
They appear to be plastic mouldings-two long (horiz.L/R)and one short (vert.)
Mine are looking a bit tired and could do with a repaint.

It would appear that the plastic `spokes` are a fixture, short of damaging something.
Solved the problem for 99p with an A5 sample of matt silver vinyl wrap-can even do the job in situ and no masking reqired.

Sounds a good fix. I was tempted to answer yes as I was sure I had prised them off when I sprayed mine but then looked at the wheel I have in the garage and they seemed very tight so I left it not wanting to be the cause of any damage. The paint does scratch and mine could do with a respray (although a different wheel is now fitted) so might try your way. Where did you get the wrap sample?

They do pop off, though it is rather nerve racking. I've a small plastic trim tool which I used to prise them off.
Like others I got some suitable vinyl wrap off ebay, and wrapped them. Took me a couple of goes for me to be happy, but it wasn't to difficult. Just remember to use some heat to help get it around the corners.

Hear you go.
The green thing in one of the pictures is the tool I used to leaver them off. From memory the single vertical one was the tightest.
