Does anyone have any photos of TR7's on delivery from the factory - this lovely period photo taken circa 1978 - Some coupès off to North America (apparently it is a Toleman Car Delivery's Guy Transporter) — in Canley, Coventry, United Kingdom.

Great 1970's photo.

Nowadays the transporters carry far more thanks to the strange angles of the loaded cars.

Not TR7s but here's a great old mid 70s pic of a car carrier road train carrying Chrysler Valiants (I had quite a few of these) on the upper deck

I couldn't resist googling the net for that vertical stacking picture. Chevy Vega.

Yeah, I recognised them. Always liked the style of the Vega but I think they had engine problems. Wasn't it an ali block with chrome plating instead of liners?

Yah,similar idea to the Jaguar XK8. Good idea (low friction, little wear) but couldn't stand up to the sulphur content in gasoline back then. It resulted in sulphuric acid in the combustion chamber which ate the lining. It's been mandated to an insignificant level now but I don't know if any manufacturer is brave enough to use it now.
